BOARD MEETING: The Lake City Lions Board of Directors met at 7:00 p.m. Monday January 2, 2012 at the American Legion Clubroom, 7 members were present.

January Meeting                                                                                               The January meeting will be at the American Legion Hall, Jan. 9. Social hour at 6:30pm, dinner meeting at 7:00pm.

The club received a thank you from the Lake City Environmental Learning Program for our donation of $200

PARADE OF GREEN
The board recomended the following donations to the Parade Of Green this year. $2 per member for each of the following Camp Winnebago, Leader Dog, Hearing Foundation, Lions Eye Clinic, Children's eye clinic, Special Olympics, Mac Center. Total donation will be $1312

NEW CO-CHAIRS
The board would like to thank the following lions for stepping forward and filling positions for the upcoming year. David McCormick will co-chair the car show, Bev Bantley will co-chair the Palm Sunday Brunch, and Lyle Mathison and John Mortenson will co-chair the Highway Pickup.

PEACE POSTER AWARDS CEREMONY
There will be an awards ceremony for the 5m1 lions peace poster contest on Jan 15 at Stewertville. Pres. Ed Burfiend will be attending. If your are interested in going or would like more information contact Lion Ed 345-4614

Change Of Date-Christmas Tree Pickup-----The annual citywide Christmas Tree Pickup will be on Jan 14, meet at 1:00pm at the Willers Const Building 1105 N 7th St.

Mid Winter Convention-----The District 5M1 Mid Winter Convention will be on Jan, 20, 21, & 22 at the Rochester Event center. For forms or information contact Pres, Ed Burfiend 345-4614 or Gene Kohrs 345-2259.  You can attend all or part of the convention. There are a lot of great speakers and interesting presentations all weekenf long.
